AGATA POSPIESZYNSKA

Who: A photographer. I don't know much about her but I believe she is from Poland. Subjects of her lens include the lovely ladies Lindsey Wixson, Karlie Kloss, Abbey Lee Kershaw, and much more beloved models. I remember absolutely loving her behind-the-scenes shots of Stella McCartney and Sonia Rykiel spring 2011 shows. 

These are just a few of the photos from the shows that I had saved. I at the time said, "incredible stills and captures" and moved on. But, cleaning out my stash of photos the other day, I luckily stumbled upon these and decided to re-investigate. I have been in front of my computer for an hour or two just searching Agata's photographs and I am completely mesmerized and enchanted. 

I don't know much about photography but I do know that it takes a whole lot of talent to capture a moment as brilliantly as Agata and to convey such a range of emotions with a single photo. 

I wish I knew more about the art of photography to speak more about her work but I am simply not as intelligent or well-versed in that field. So, I can only hope that my simple words of utter awe and reverence for this fine lady will spark an interest and anticipation for her work and a certain admiration and respect for photographers.

Today was a very busy day. Kind of. I had to do a bunch of errands and run around trying to get things together for New Year's Eve and some other events going on early Jan. Bleh. But, I got to have an amazing breakfast with my cousin and mama (: I had yummy banana pancakes that I forgot to take a picture of but think: fucking delicious shit packed in tiny circles. Yup.

Today was cold. Very very cold. I had forgotten it was winter and wore very light clothing out today. Sigh, the stupidity of a college student back at home for winter break. 


But, I looked very lady-like and like a girl for once and I am proud of it. My inspirations? Marc Jacobs and the ultimate sex bomb/icon: Brigitte Bardot. (; fun stuff.

Of course I get sick during the holidays. Typical. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves(:

Well. I went to the mall about 10 times and gave up looking for gifts for other people around the 4th visit and then decided to do just whatever the next 6 visits. Very productive. So what did I end up with? Crappy gifts but very sincere letters, which I personally think is much better. But, you know. 

Any holiday wishes that came true? I'm pretty sure I asked for this every chance I could all throughout middle school:

It's only 5PM and it looks like it's 11PM...one of the MAJOR downfalls of winter. But it is almost Christmas (: weeeee! so excited. I am anticipating ZERO gifts since I did a lot of retail-therapy during my first semester at correge. But that's ok. Today, I researched internships ..bleh. Worked out, went to the bookstore and came back to make more Christmas gifts. I have made 4 paintings and 2 bracelets. I just have 2 more bracelets and three more paintings to go! Fun fun fun.

I used to think she was over-rated but the more I discover old photos and watch her films, I realize what an amazing woman she was. I just don't understand how much power and energy can come from such a small body!

I had a very very busy day. I worked out ...and boy am I out of shape!...and I had a lunch date with my mommy did some work and finally had a dinner&shopping date with my sis before she ditched us all for Spain.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee. I had a cute little shopping date with one of my girls. &Since I thought that having to wake up at 7:30AM during my winter break gave me an excuse to look a bit sluggish today (not that I don't look a bit sluggish every day but still).
